I't will be interesting seeing the outcome of Tanzania's Wednesday presidential election.

The suspense is not who wins because we already know that result.

The suspense is to what extent authoritarian strong woman President Samia Suluhu Hassan, the first East African female president, will go to insure victory. She has already either killed off or jailed all opposition candidates. Will she know rig the vote, too?

Trump and the gang are joyous over her grip on Tanzania, once regarded as the model of democracy for all of East Africa. All Western financial institutions can breathe easy these days. Hassan has no problem continuing to play ball with them.

And the struggle continues!
