I heard about his death and it brought back memories of my home on the island. My brother used to butcher the lyrics yet he continued singing it wherever & whenever..he and a small group of students read all kinds of Marxist literature and were devoted. In retrospect i'm surprised they didn't start some kind of uprising on the island. lol.
But then, it was a very Catholic, conservative, and pro-American environment.

Anyway, while I was posting (grimreaper? lol) about his passing, you came to mind because I suspected you'd identify with the period and his music; and i'm not at all surprised that you knew him - my instinct was correct!
