McCarthy was a Wisconsin Senator. His assistant, Roy Cohen, was actually Trump's mentor. One of my first memories of television was watching the McCarthy hearing on our TV. I was a first grader. Mom was so pissed at him that she bought a "Joe Must Go" Sticker and put in on the bumper of our 1953 Desoto. LOL!!! I recall the gas station owner on the corner got pissed when he saw it, and mom got into with him. Our Jewish neighbor, Hazel, came to her aid telling him that she will no longer buy gas from him. Ha!!! Ma loved ole Hazel after her help in the argument.
