People have been discussing both sides of the Arab-Israeli 'equation' for years!
This has been part of the Black Radical Tradition ever since, from Malcolm X, to the Black Panthers(especially Angela Davis), to Min Farrakhan/NOI, Dr Ben, Molefi Kete Asante, Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, TransAfrica, PanAfricanists etc etc. This isn't something new!
What is new and current and ongoing is Israel's complete attempt to dispossess on a higher level, and completely genocide the Palestinian people AS WE SPEAK!
A Palestinian people who've been steadfast in their support of every Black Liberation struggle whether in Africa or other parts of the Black Disaspora, while Israel was arming our oppressors - eg, siding & arming the South Africa apartheid regime.
Why are we surprise that there's color discrimination in Palestinian society? You can find Palestinian anti-black discrimination IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN, for christsakes (i suspect some of that played out during the Abdul el-Sayed election with some blacks not voting for him for that reason.)
Btw, there is color discrimination among Africans/Black people too. By your logic if a group of folks decided to attempt a genocide against light-skin Black people, we should constantly throw that history in their faces as they are being eexterminated? How wicked & gross!
Les, your attitude on Israel's ongoing genocide in the Middle East is a complete disgrace and an embarrassment to the very idea of Afrocentrism.
AND, there is no 'aboutism' when a group of oppressed & occupied people are being genocided in broad daylight and on your tv & phone screens. NONE!
