Imagine the nerve & stoopidity it takes to post about a member of the genocidal Israeli force/IDF pointing out discrimination against Palestinians EVEN AS THEY ARE SLAUGHTERING PALESTINIANS - EVEN AS THEY ARE THE ONES COMMITTING A GENOCIDE ON PALESTINIANS!
Well, such is the case of Miss Israel, Titi Aynaw, talking about Abeed street. She is/was a member of the IDF, the same force wiping out Palestinians in Gaza, yet there she was pointing out discrimination against the same people she is helping slaughter. [she was part of the israeli military police corps].
Such a classic case of a guilty conscience deflecting from the wickedness she was a part of.
One more thing:
Les, the next time you use Titi Aynaw to make a point about Afro-Palestinian suffering, be sure to do some research on what she has said & thought about AAs/Black Americans. As a matter of fact, the same kind of condescension you threw at me earlier on, is the kind she's shown toward Black Americans.
She has been particularly nasty to the Black Lives Matter movement because they expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people. She basically told them to shut the hell up because they don't read or know the history of Israel.
Titi Aynaw compared Israel to George Floyd: she said Palestinians(hamas?) have their knees on Israel's neck just like the police had his knee on George Floyd's neck. You get it?
Mr Les Lester, if you met Tity Aynaw and told her you were an Afrocentrist, she'd laugh in your face! She has a total Eurocentric mindset and buys into Netanyahu's version of modern Israel, including Ethiopian Jews being accidental Jews.
Currently, Titi Aynaw functions as some kind of ambassador for Israel's gov't - doing their PR work - although I was told she's been criticizing Netanyahu. I haven't heard of her lately though she's expressed admiration for President Obama and Dr King. She met Obama during a White House function honoring former Israeli president, Shimon Peres.
You wrote: "Yes, we can critique Palestine and Israel, too."
WOW, this is such a profound revelation!...Dude, really?!...When did we EVAR not do that?
We do not need that critique right now, WE NEED A COMPLETE & TOTAL DENOUNCIATION OF ISRAEL'S GENOCIDE AGAINST A NATIVE PEOPLE; SOMETHING THAT'S GOING ON AS WE READ & SPEAK. This is the context from which i'm coming from - it's a specific context!
