Meanwhile, Israel’s genocide and in-our-face land grab cannot stand. I have to agree with an earlier point by GM that the settler state will not stand, given its current concomitant land grab.
Land-grab summary across the Web:
“Legal experts, international bodies, and human rights organizations point to unilateral bureaucratic integration, large-scale state land declarations, and settlement expansion as proof of Israel’s de facto annexation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem. While Israel has historically refrained from declaring official, de jure sovereignty over the entire West Bank to avoid international legal triggers, its recent policy shifts represent a fundamental transition from a temporary military occupation to permanent civil governance.1. The February 2026 Land Registration PolicyThe most critical recent evidence is a series of sweeping cabinet measures enacted by the Israeli government:Formal Registration in Area C: Israel approved a formal land registration process in Area C of the West Bank—which constitutes roughly 60% of the territory—allocating $77 million to the project. This systematically restarts land title procedures frozen since the 1967 Six-Day War.The "State Property" Default: Under this policy, any individual claiming ownership of a plot must provide strict, formal proof to Israeli authorities. Because Israel halted formal registration decades ago, many Palestinians rely on historical Ottoman, British, or Jordanian documents that are often lost or destroyed.Systematic Seizure: If proof cannot be produced under these rigid conditions, the land defaults to Israeli "state property," opening it up for Israeli civilian development and settlement expansion. Human rights groups like Amnesty International define this mass expropriation of private property as a core mechanic of annexation.2. Annexation by Bureaucracy (Civilian Transfer) International law (such as the Fourth Geneva Convention) dictates that an occupying power must govern via temporary military administration, keeping the local legal framework intact. Israel has systematically dismantled this:Shifting Authorities: Israel has systematically transferred building, licensing, and municipal enforcement authority in the West Bank away from Palestinian municipalities and military officials, placing it directly under the oversight of Israeli civilian ministries.Applying Israeli Civil Law: This shift applies domestic Israeli legislation, environmental regulations, and archaeological oversight directly inside the occupied territory, bypassing the need for a formal Knesset annexation vote. Analysts refer to this as "annexation by bureaucracy".Property Market Changes: New regulations have stripped confidentiality from West Bank property records and lifted long-standing prohibitions, making it easier for Israeli settlers and entities to target, pressure, and acquire Palestinian land.3. Historical and Legal PrecedentsThe current administrative maneuvers build upon decades of physical and legal incorporation:East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights: Israel officially annexed East Jerusalem in 1980 and the Golan Heights in 1981. A report on Al Jazeera notes that land registration policies implemented in East Jerusalem resulted in 99% of registered land falling to the Israeli state or private Israeli owners, serving as a blueprint for the current West Bank push. The 2024 International Court of Justice (ICJ) Advisory Opinion: The World Court issued a landmark ruling stating that Israel's long-term land expropriations, population transfers, and systemic legislation aimed at incorporating the territory are totally invalid. The ICJ explicitly concluded that Israel’s prolonged presence has crossed the line into an unlawful, de facto annexation that must be terminated. The Israeli Government PositionThe Israeli government rejects the term "annexation" and the legal definition of the West Bank as "occupied territory". The official state position argues that the land is "disputed territory" rather than occupied, asserting that no other international actor holds a superior sovereign claim to the region. Officials describe the land registration and regulatory measures as neutral legal and bureaucratic upgrades to establish order and manage state-controlled assets.”

Hey Les, what a crock of sh--!!!. You fully want to include a negative, and absurd, subtext to the genocidal slaughter of the Palestinian people? Nothing we should become unhinged about??????

Gentlemen, despite the vituperations, its been good to see the passion you’ve displayed concerning the African-Middle Eastern, Ashkenazi dilemma. They’ve been fighting about it over there, since time immemorial, so no sense in us thinking we’ll engage it without friction. Iron sharpens iron, though, which has allowed me to focus-in more concerning what the vitriol between you guys was all about. Essentially, Oct. 7 and the subtext of Middle Eastern anti-Blackness — nothing we should become unhinged about.
