I am not half the writer that my friend in Texas is, but i will attempt to get my feelings out on this whole painful experience the best I am able. It is short and succinct.

I, too, have a love for this board, gm. It's gotten me through many difficult times over the past 18 years- the death of my mother and hernia, prostate and open-heart surgery.

As a matter of fact, I was preparing a post on this very board when i had my first of two heart attacks on my 75th birthday, June 5th, 2022.

All went well and my heart is ticking great now. This board helped me get through it. Thanks Les, you helped this old geezer through a difficult time.

Les has been a great host; however, his stubborn insistence of attaching a caveat to the genocide of the Palestinian people left me speechless. Was I reading this correctly? Did I miss something. Was I overreacting? No, unfortunately it is what it is- a very wicked attempt to dilute moral clarity.

Les, I know there have been huge changes in your life recently, and those huge changes can be extremely stressful. Sometimes that stress leads to irresponsible remarks.

Take it from someone who has been there and done that. More than once i have asked, WTF did i say that for? Just look at some of my vile language i used during our debate on this topic. We all mess up. Les, you're a good dude, with a good heart. I know because I have seen that on display here for 18 years.

Please ask yourself, do u really want to continue with a caveat to the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people?
