On July 28, 1868, the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States, was certified. This amendment was pivotal in the Reconstruction Era, as it aimed to protect the rights of former slaves, particularly in the face of oppressive state laws that sought to limit their freedoms. The amendment also established due process and equal protection under the law to all persons residing here. ICE is daily trampling on these rights, and Trump sought to undermine the 14th at the Supreme Court, but failed 6/3 and 5/4. It should have been 9/0. Photo: Newly elected Senator and House Reps due to the Reconstruction Amendments. It all changed in 1876, with the Hayes-Tilden Counter-Revolution.
True, on his first day of his second term in January 2025, Trump signed an executive order aimed at denying automatic citizenship to children born on U.S. soil if their parents were "undocumented" or on "temporary visas".
However I remember the bastard stating that the original intent of the 14th Amendment was solely to guarantee citizenship to formerly enslaved Black Americans after the Civil War. He really got me deeply thinking on this one although I don't like him. I mean why would Latinos, Asians, or Arab-Americans who "some", "many", or "most of them"(not sure) have a racial beef with AAs in the United State today profit from the 14th Amendment when NONE OF THEM WAS THERE IN 1868 but the Blacks and Whites?? OOooh, maybe there were about 2 latinos and 2 Arabs and 2 Asians in the U.S back then in 1868LOL!!.
And like I've said, most of the Latino and Arab immigrants who settled in the U.S came from an oppressor "ethnicity" of these third world countries,... and most White Westerners unfortunately(and you are one of them) don't pay attention at all to this social attitude part of the newly arrived immigrants they have in the country, because all they see is crowds of immigrants trying to make a better life in America, thats all. But what White ppl fail to see or take into consideration with these new immigrants is the fact that they might be racists in their own Latino and Arab countries where they use to own Black slaves, marginalize them and call them names, and that they perhaps bring that garbage with them to America. Then all of sudden they wanna take an advantage of the 14th amendment forgetting or not knowing that they're putting themselves in the shoes of black American slaves. Hahahaha!! Very amazing!! I mean if you don't like Black ppl then to hell with their 14th amendment, its theirs, why grab it?

My Take on the 14th Amendment and your fixation on the oppressed becoming the oppressor
The 14th Amendment was originally enacted during Reconstruction to secure citizenship and equal legal rights for all persons born or naturalized in the United States — including formerly enslaved African Americans — but its text is broader than “for slaves” and has been interpreted and applied to many other groups over time.
The oppressed becoming oppressors is an interesting topic that you have brought up here countless times, ad nauseum.
There is a pathological answer to the question: Why do the oppressed often become oppressors? Trauma creates this phenomenon. It is not unlike the trauma that abused children perpetuate.
Countless studies show that the abuse is passed on for many generations. It is the gift that keeps giving.
The oppressed should not receive extra blame for oppressing. It is trauma transference, which is a normal reaction for individuals and groups that are victims. If you want to play the blame game, point fingers at the insane system that divides us and creates oppression.
Let's spend our time fighting the system that creates it and educating people on the importance of solidarity.

Re: My Take on the 14th Amendment and your fixation on the oppressed becoming the oppressor
TheOne, I agree with Maestro in this framework. Oppressed people should not be lashing out at other oppressed people. The system, systemic issues, such as media suppression is what needs to be addressed. Most people get their views and values from the media framing they grow-up within.
If the mass media framed the biblical peoples like the Hebrews, Egyptians, Assyrians, Persians, etc., like they really looked, we'd have a different cultural flow to draw from.
Currently, the media teaches that any group that has ever done anything were pink colored. So Arabs, Latino's, Asians, etc., imbibe the status quo.
That's why we need you guys to realize that whatever you post results in negative or positive PR, essentially, by default.
The 14th Amendment needs to remain as it is. The Neo-Confederates would love to chip away at it.
Photo: Above: The progenitors of civilization -- The Assyrians and Hebrews were Black folks.
This photo (above) is from a public school textbook, a primary source depiction of Arabs, riding camels, with the braids (Black folks), fighting the Assyrians, (Black folks). But the textbooks don't point out the clear distinctions that the people in the depictions above were not pink people. The West has the world in a matrix, as if using the term pink is a bad thing. This is a clear example of white supremacist PR, fed to our children every day, through omission.
Re: My Take on the 14th Amendment and your fixation on the oppressed becoming the oppressor
From my perspective, Maestro, the 14th Amendment was overwhelmingly at that time about including and protecting the ex-slaves population(Black Americans) and that was really the highest in order of importance and the "immediate aim" at that time for the 14th Amendment.
""""interesting topic that you have brought up here countless times, ad nauseum"""""
As long as its an ongoing issue that has no tendency to disappear it is worth it to keep talking about it another 500 times or more. PPl have been talking countless times(maybe since 1948) about the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the occupation of Palestinian territories, are you tired of these repetitions, Mr Maestro? PPL are protesting countless times too around the world on behalf of Palestine. Yet the problem of the oppressed becoming the oppressor in Israel is still there, didn't go away. PPl have been protesting countless times about police brutality in the U.S(no justice, no peace) yet the shooting of unarmed ppl is still occuring as we speak. How many times MLK spoke to the ppl on the mic about the non-violence and direct action? He spoke it countless times, to the point where probably the "racists" got sick of it.
So, your remark here was an "aspersion", Sir.

When an oppressed group or individual turns to oppress others, the phenomenon is most commonly called lateral violence, horizontal hostility, or sub-oppression. Nobody calls it a world-wide resistance EXCEPT your dummb ass.

"""fuck the Latinos and Arabs who have done this." ad nauseum."""
You dummy, anyone with logical thinking behind my statement above will comprehend that Black people face structural racism, economic inequality, and social oppression across Latin America and the Arab world.
Apparently despite the fact you've watched countless times(ad nauseum) videos and articles on LLC about the oppressed doing the oppressing, you missed the point.
Now, are you "trying to put words in my mouth"?? When did I ever said, or meant that a world-wide resistance was less important? And what a "worldwide resistance" to the ongoing genocide in Gaza got to do with an oppressed ppl oppressing others??
When an oppressed group or individual turns to oppress others, the phenomenon is most commonly called lateral violence, horizontal hostility, or sub-oppression. Nobody calls it a world-wide resistance EXCEPT your dummb ass.

If i am not mistaken, you have countless times berated the once oppressed and now oppressors. LOL!! I believe you have said things like this about them:"fuck the Latinos and Arabs who have done this." ad nauseum.
All I did was point out my thoughts on why this phenomenon occurs, which is compatible with experts on the topic.
If you think this constant harangue of yours is as important as the continued world-wide resistance to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, then I pity your poor, senseless ass.

""""The oppressed should not receive extra blame for oppressing. It is trauma transference, which is a normal reaction for individuals and groups that are victims""""
Too bad thats a stupid oppressed individual. An intelligent oppressed DO NOT and should not become oppressor, because true liberation aims to end injustice rather than repeat it. If you pardon, put up with or tolerate the oppressed(as you said above) for oppressing then "oppression" itself will never disappear. Capiche??
""""Let's spend our time fighting the system that creates it and educating people on the importance of solidarity."""""
I agree with you here, but for sure in order to fight this system that creates it you will have to fight it "countless times", ad nauseum. There is no other way, you can't fight it only "sometimes", or once a year. LOL!! Capiche??

OOooh, maybe there were about 2 latinos and 2 Arabs and 2 Asians in the U.S back then in 1868 LOL!!.

On July 28, 1868, the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States, was certified. This amendment was pivotal in the Reconstruction Era, as it aimed to protect the rights of former slaves, particularly in the face of oppressive state laws that sought to limit their freedoms. The amendment also established due process and equal protection under the law to all persons residing here. ICE is daily trampling on these rights, and Trump sought to undermine the 14th at the Supreme Court, but failed 6/3 and 5/4. It should have been 9/0. hahahaha, did you really read what your friend said here?? If you did then why are you sill pissed off at Israel's genocide. Jews were oppressed under Hitler's Germany for many years, so its normal that the Jews became oppressors in Israel. hahahahahahahaha!!! OOoH but this kind of oppressed becoming oppressor doesn't fit your agenda coz they are Zionists, so you don't accept it. But the oppressed white Latinos oppressing Blacks in Latin America you turn a blind eye to that,... or oppressed Arabs in Saudi Arabia marginalizing their Afro-Arabs in that country its also okay with you.
TALK ABOUT DOUBLE STANDARDS!!! LOL, FYI, I am also cracking up reading your stuff.

hahahaha, You keep talking about the same stupid nonsense that is not even true. Again how the fuuck did you see "Israel and Zionists" in a conversation that was originally about the 14th Amendment, and Latino/Arab immigration in the U.S?? LOL
Have you bought the new brain I've asked you to buy a few days ago???
