...I remember when if things went wrong at the house my first instinct was to try and fix them. I fixed a lot of faucet, toilet, appliance and other issues. Until an injury stopped me I cleaned my own gutters. I still mow and trim.

The young folks in my family simply sit on their butts. My mom had my sister and her daughters living in her house. The daughters hauled in their useless - usually unemployed boyfriends or husbands (we never knew). With 4 early-20's brats living there the house was a huge mess, nothing got fized, and my disabled older brother was taking care of the yard.

Every time we went over there those young idiots were asleep or sitting on the front porch smoking.
