Upon her tomb, a single stone
all worn and grief bestowed.
It never sleeps, it never wakes,
it's now rock coving bone.
The arched marker in its place
is over my good friend,
when ungracefully she fell onto a post,
its impact, her quick end.
"Alone", I cried inside my heart
"to wither and to waste,
to be the darkness of my soul,
my heart and mind to taste."
"Oh morbid one", I hear her say,
"why shield and shy from grief?
Love's lessons cost us all each day,
the suffering now, the thief."
"Come lay your head, let out your pain
let it teach you how to live,
til one day this hard place be yours
and then your chance to give."
I'm thinking it's just about right... just one more...
gotta pic out the visual first..
