Our 40 year old highly educated granddaughter just had her first baby....and AFTER the baby was born was astonished that it would cost $2000 a month for a babysitter while she worked.....and I understand that is the going rate in Southern California too...So, many of the older couples that have waited to have babies are not aware of the costs of a babysitter, until AFTER they have a baby, as I know of other that have been "floored" about it also????

I know of grandparents that truly help immensely with raising their grandchildren and to me it is a win-win scenario....well, if the grandparents are retired that is.....
