At one point in time we had our caravan in storage at Seahouses and I pulled a small trailer with our gear in it up to Seahouses set up etc. That worked for 3 years until our son got into his own thing.
Over the years we adapted to suit. However our caravans are and were an extension of our home. It’s a sort of room to our house that we can take on trips.
When we were up staying at Beadnell last September we got talking to a couple in a Cafe who were staying on the same site as us.
As you do we talked about camping, caravans and Motorhomes.
This couple had had all and were going to sell their Motorhome and go back to camping. That is something that I cannot understand, however they may have needed the money from the sale for other things, we never asked.
We are now cutting down on the distance that we travel. No trips to France, sticking to U.K. and looking to probably get a seasonal pitch somewhere probably in Northumberland. Our age and that of our car and caravan being the limiting factor.
