was very conceded about us having a caravan.
She couldn’t take in that caravans had all the mod cons. Central heating, hot and cold running water and cooking facilities plus a fridge/ freezer. Unfortunately never got the chance to take her to see ours on site.
The caravans of years ago, say pre1984 ish are so far removed from today’s types .
Regretfully the cost of buying either a caravan or Motorhome has vastly increased. A caravan in 2019 bought new would cost about £29,000 but today an almost identical one is about £36,000 to £40,000 or more.
The advantage of a caravan or Motorhome is that the cost of a holiday is cheap as a caravan or Motorhome pitch per night is from £20 to £52 depending of location, date and facilities provided.
We fancy going to Malta for a hotel holiday but the cost is to us out of this world so probably won’t bother.
We will not be going to France every year for 9 and then 6 weeks as the cost of the crossing is now up to £550 and insurance due to our ages £650 adding say £30 to £40 per night.
Plenty to see and do in the U.K. before our traveling days are over.
