John, we live in quite a rural area, lots of growing done necessitating in very heavy vehicles using the roads, loads of potholes etc, we never drive at nights as can’t see the potholes.

When we first moved here 11 years ago we never saw any ethnic minorities and the like, we never had any asylum seekers being housed, that has all changed now, hence the requirement for extra funds. We never see any police in cars or otherwise, the Leader of the Council, (Conservative) goes missing until an Election is due then he makes an appearance.

To my mind having to pay over £4,000 per year on council tax is a complete joke for services received, the council can’t even maintain the single track lane that leads to our little hamlet, we come way down the pecking order but our council tax is just one bracket down from being the top bracket, we don’t have any choice it has to be paid along with all the other expenses, I really don’t know how elderly people on limited incomes can afford this expenditure, it is totally unfair when you consider what asylum seekers are being given.
