You must have had one of those kits in your car or vehicle on your travels to Italy etc.
If they are saying that every car in the U.K. should carry a kit, nowt wrong with that. You do that anyway if you cross the Channel.
Yes it could be part of the Service and MOT. But only to check if there is an unopened kit. In any case don’t see the point of doing that, it’s up to the car owner to have the kit in the car..
In any case they are only for you to check yourself. The police will always use their own equipment as anything else will not stand up in court in U.K. No idea what happens in France but assume it’s the same.
Yes it would bring us in line with the EU regs but so what!
