Very nice Norman! I'm still doing the research on it. One day, Jimmy Guy the Verger phoned me to chat about missing stones in the monastery. I immediately drove up to jarrow and scoured the area. Most were easily recognisable by size, material and masons broaching etc. In a few hours I found lots in the cemetery wall and Port of Tyne wall. OK, better used than ditched but in my opinion, should have been secured on site. This is how history disappears for good.
