Hello Margaret! I was born 16-3-1924 - and 14 when the war started in 1939 - I worked as an office girl in Reyrolle’s offices for about a year, then as an office person in White’s Marine before moving to the Post Office, in the Quay., I transferred to the main Post Office in Newcastle., where I stayed until the war was over.
