I was astounded to read the demise of so many places I knew - most especially Reyrolles, where my dear father,PETER COOK worked for many years as a foreman Miller - and also my elder brother, LESLIE COOK (4 yrs older)worked for Reyrolles in India and Singapore. The Post Office in the Quay - and that White’s Marine is no more and iis instead a housing estate (-pleased they kept the name!) ‘Thank you once more - I truly enjoy reading about “my” Hebburn .
