It is their excuse that it is about equalizing things with the tax on petrol and diesel which you pay at the pump without really noticing.
Now that would be a reasonable argument except that it dis-incentivizes EV purchases which on the other hand they are trying to encourage with subsidies of up to £3750 per vehicle.
No joined up thinking!! That just about sums up every decision over the last 18 months and the regular U turns by TTK et al!!
