It was like that when I moved to London in 1970, it always amazed me seeing the bank couriers, always men, running around the City of London carrying bearer bonds worth millions going from bank to bank, all was well u til 1990 when a courier was attacked, imagine using that system now?

Everything on the underground was done in orderly way, the train service from Bank Station to, I believe, Waterloo was so regimented it was unbelievable, I don’t know if it is the same now though.
