Liz, it’s probably not the same. Yes London was still the same in 1970. It didn't really start changing until mid 1970’s as I remember. By the late 1970’s immigrants from many countries changed neighbourhoods not for the better. I can remember my sister’s friends retiring and moving out to Essex and Kent.
