I spent 10 years of my life with the enterprise branch of the RNLI at Hartlepool before moving to Liverpool where I resigned from it all. My reason? Immigrants. Also, I am not shocked at the lack of funding because a year ago, I sent a letter to the head office in Poole,Dorset, saying that this would happen. The top brass in the RNLI get a fat wage. I will not disclose how much but it disgusts me when I know what the crew risk life and limb for. I have seen the worst of what crews have to deal with, yet there are people sitting on their fat backsides in warm offices getting paid . I rest my case as I will never agree with the the taxi service. Let me say that the crews are highly trained at Poole before being accepted and it is commando style. However they say they are there to save lives and that is why they joined the RNLI. However, I agree with you all abut me anger is with Starmer for letting them down......
