Re: Wesleyan Chapel, Jarrow became a community Centre?
I have images of this Weslyan Chapel in my archive and it was erected 1869-70 at a cost of £4000 and made to seat 950 people. I am '99% certain' it had an upstairs balcony on 3 sides with more seating. I dont know if it had a community centre, but it probably did have. St Kildas Church in Wear St had a very well known 'Youth Club'
