Hi Norman, my introduction to pubs was in the 1960’s so I don’t know what previous names it had. My Dad , who used to visit that area as a boy each Saturday accompanying his Grandad to the barbers, told me the pub was run by Jimmy Mullen, who kept good order with the aid of a mallet he kept behind the bar.
