When my late mum was alive she had a care package which I contributed to, the Carers were put in place by Social services via Gateshead Council. The Carers mum had were wonderful ladies, in fact nearly 7 years after m6 mum passed away I am still in regular contact with the cater who remained with mum for a number of years.

Sometimes at weekends mum did have, on a couple of occasions young females, like your young lady Stan, who didn’t have a car and had to cover their ‘round’ on foot, mum always took pity on these poor girls and gave them bus fares.

I really do think that these carers should be paid more than they are currently getting they do a marvellous job under some rather terrible circumstances
