Warning to car drivers of an age

Whatever you do whilst driving please take a break at least every 2 hours or less.

I found on Tuesday that because I drove for between 2 1/2 to 3 hours none stop that I had overnight cramps.

Most of the driving was motorway so using cruise control in the main. Rarely changed gear except on the Western bypass. Car is manual change.

I have not drove a long distance for a while so maybe that’s part of it. There could be other factors involved though.

Just be aware of possible problems.

May I suggest you visit a Pharmacy/Chemist and obtain some MAGNESIUM Tablets or Capsules.....Having been a professional heavy vehicle driver (buses and semi trailers) for a number of years, I used to get night cramps that would launch me out of bed and have me hobbling up and down the hallway until the cramp settled down, I take one 150g Magnesium tablet in the morning and one just before bed and have not had a night cramp for several years.

Will give them a try. I think that I have tried them before then the shop ran out of stock and I forgot.

That length of driving time would just about get me out of my house to the roadway. So it seems in the snowy winter months.
