I listened to most of what was said earlier today, it makes you wonder what kind of parents allowed their son to get away with, if the parents of AR had taken responsibility for their son and reported him to the authorities perhaps 3 young girls would still be alive today, and other young girls would not have been so traumatised.

The weapons etc that were delivered to that monsters house were unbelievable, his parents, also the Police and other authorities should hang their heads in utter shame that through their collective actions 3 young girls lost their lives.

The parents knew because of his age he woukd be unable to buy the weapons involved so were they ordered in the parents name? He had been referred to an agency who works with this type of extremist behaviour 3 times and it wasn't taken forward. It seems like a lot of buck passing is going on around responsibility, but in the end will anyone be held responsible for the inaction that ultimately caused the loss of 3 young lives and the injuries and trauma of many more. I doubt it.

Terrible terrible the parents and a lot more people along the line are to blame .The Police what I read when it happened were very quick to respond it could have been worse.Damed if they do Damed if they don't .

That filthy scum will be well protected like Huntley was. Apparently Starmer was involved somewhere along the line. Maybe helped the parents get into our country.

Have to agree with you all. Particularly that the parents are singled out (often the case where they don't seem to be responsible!)
And the fact that he was "allowed" to buy these weapons; where did the money come from? Yes, the parents!
THEY should be in court for aiding & abetting!!!

Impossible not to concur with all these posts. The authorities continue to fail to act. This includes doctors who must have known of the condition of the responsible person. The problem lies with the change in the Mental Institution act. This process, known as deinstitutionalisation, replaced large secure hospitals with Care in the Community policies. The only secure mental hospitals left are those such as Broadmoor where dangerous mentally ill people are sent AFTER the event. Current institutions are not preventative. In response to this terrible outrage, our prime minister has offered his intention to prevent future such occurrences. I hope, without a great deal of confidence, he will act very quickly - like now.

It's interesting that the inquiry concluded that there had been multiple failures to prevent this tragedy on the part of the parents, the police and other authorities, yet nobody is going to be held accountable.

The article detailing AR's history of violent and other suspect behavior is absolutely horrific, yet nothing was done.

It reminds me of those stories I read about burglars being convicted and then it mentions that they have a history of 64 other similar offences.

Some people are just a menace to society and should be taken off the streets.

To put it into the Anglo-Saxon: Lessons BLOODY well aren't learnt!!!

The media have posted photos of those lovely innocent children too many times.
Think of the parents seeing them whenever their TV is on. Their grief is sufficient without the constant reminders
And the deranged cretin who killed them still breathes!!!
How many more of his ilk have we imported?

In 1955 we executed a young lady called Ruth Ellis who wasnt a danger to anyone. Nowadays scum like the Stockport child killer gets gaoled for a minimum of 52yrs & is well protected incase he gets bumped off like Huntley was.That scum could be free when he's about 70 then be given a pension for life that he never worked for, plus somewhere to live. It makes me feel sick at how stupid we are nowadays. I would bring back the death penalty for these kind of cases & deport his family who knew he was dangerous & said nothing

The family should be arrested and charged with Assisting an Offender, they knew full well that their son was dangerous, had many knives and it was only a matter of time before he used them on 3 defenceless young girls, he should be hung !

An MP called Jenneras was on morning TV saying the parents knew what their son was upto so should be deported back to their home country. Well said Mr Jenneras. Totally agree.We need to toughen up.

He was Tory immigration minister and resigned because he did not think the regulations chosen by Sunak's Cabinet were tough enough.
He still remains tough on immigration.
