History offers countless examples where actions were deemed "proper" within a political context but were glaringly wrong in terms of their human cost, societal impact, or disregard for Christian religion. When "proper" simply reflects conformity to existing norms or strategic convenience, it risks justifying actions that lack integrity, compassion, or fairness. Policies or positions that dismiss the greater good in favor of political expediency erode trust in governance and harm the very foundation of public service. We must strive to uphold principles of justice, equity, and accountability—not merely check the box of political correctness. Ultimately, being "proper" pales in comparison to being truly right. And in Christianity, celebrating Jesus, is right. |
