White House plans 'extraordinary' Holy Week as Trump honors Easter with 'the observance it deserves'
Trump's robust Holy Week celebration comes after the Biden White House declared Easter 2024 Transgender Day of Visibility.

EXCLUSIVE: The White House is gearing up for an "extraordinary" celebration for Holy Week ahead of Easter, with President Donald Trump participating in a number of events to celebrate and honor the holiday "with the observance it deserves."

The new White House Faith Office organized the Holy Week schedule.

"The newly created White House Faith Office is grateful to share that President Trump will honor and celebrate Holy Week and Easter with the observance it deserves," Jennifer Korn, faith director of the White House Faith Office, told Fox News Digital.

"Throughout the week, we will distribute a Holy Week proclamation, a special presidential video message (and) host a pre-Easter dinner and White House staff Easter service."

Korn said it "will be a special time of prayer and worship at the White House to be shared with Americans celebrating the week leading up to Resurrection Sunday."

On Palm Sunday, the president is expected to issue a presidential Easter proclamation that will speak directly to Christians as Holy Week begins and maintain his commitment to defend the Christian faith in schools, in the military, in workplaces, hospitals, in government and beyond.

On Monday, the president is expected to release a Holy Week video and will host an Easter dinner Wednesday evening.

The dinner will feature hymns from the Marine Corps Band, Christian opera by singer Charles Billingsley, prayers and remarks from President Trump.

Christian pastors, priests and faith leaders are expected to attend the dinner along with the president, Korn, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Pastor Paula White, the senior advisor to the White House Faith Office.

On Holy Thursday, the president is expected to host a staff worship service at the White House, where White, the Rev. Franklin Graham, Pastor Greg Laurie and Pastor Jentezen Franklin will participate in prayer, scripture, service and communion.

During the service, an ensemble from Liberty University will perform worship music.

"President Trump promised millions of Christians across the country that he would create a White House Faith Office, and he delivered on that promise," Leavitt said. "The White House Faith Office has put together an extraordinary weeklong celebration for Holy Week ahead of Easter Sunday."

Leavitt stressed that this "is another sharp contrast from the previous administration."

Leavitt noted that, last year, the Biden White House marked Easter Sunday, which fell on March 31, 2024, the most solemn Christian holiday, as Transgender Day of Visibility.

"On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives," a statement released by the Biden White House stated.

"Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans: You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire Administration, and I have your back," it added. "NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility."

Biden's defenders were quick to say he didn't choose March 31 as the date for Transgender Day of Visibility, and that, since 2021, when Biden took office, the White House had issued the same proclamation every year on March 31.

At the time, Leavitt, who was serving as the Trump campaign's national press secretary, blasted Biden's proclamation as "appalling and insulting," calling it an example of the Biden administration's "yearslong assault on the Christian faith."

"We call on Joe Biden's failing campaign and the White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ," she said last year.

Scott, If you consider that a man like Trump actually honors your God, you are forgetting he is only putting on a pretense show and making a mockery of Jesus. Nobody could be more the opposite of Jesus than Trump. Now the Devil must love him. Note that while giving his oath, that he did not touch the Bible.

Scott, I never was a Christian, so I could never have left it. What religions I practiced came later in life in adulthood, one for five years, the other for thirty-seven years.

So believe whatever you choose, it bothers me not. I am not a person that has any need to convert another, for any attempt to convert another is a form of spiritual warfare, as evil as any other form of war.

One thing the Marines taught me is how much people need freedom rather than following orders from anyone.

I have lived my life in what some people allege is a Christian country. Nothing I have seen in how they treat themselves, and how threat others, would ever encourage me to want to be part of it.

Strange that now you change the subject to military people. You say that you know some people in the military.

I have been in the military in war and in battle in Vietnam fall of 1966, to fall of 1967,in the Marines.

I will tell you one thing that I learned about men in the military, unlike the myth people believe. They are not much different from any other men. You have some that are dedicated, some are skilled, some are brave, but most are the ordinary mix of ordinary, good, bad, and in-between. They are fat, thing strong and weak, goof offs, caring, bullies and victims. They are smart and dumb hardworking and lazy as well.

The longer the war goes on, the more trained and skilled people you lose in time, either by death and injury, or just those that don't rejoin once their time is up. So year by year, the quality of the men you have to choose from decreases, and then the military standards have to be lowered, just to still have enough warm bodies to keep the war going. Eventually even with lowered standards you can't even have enough warm bodies for your war.

Military is big on public image, they inventd public relations, they are very good at sweeping bad stuff under the rug, and anyone acting as a wistel blower blows any hope of a good career, in fact he might die.

I was Marine, that often impresses people,but it does not impess me. I was a very ordnary person just doing a tempory job for two years. Never got in any trouble, never lost rank, but only gained only gained a little rank. I was a horizonal chart operator, fire directon control, in an 105MM howitzer battery. All the guns and ammo were World War II vintage. The only recent stuff was cute little mini jeeps that that were nearly useless off the road.

One our trip to Okinawa for resupply in December of 1966, and just before going back to Vietnam, our truckers and mechanics had to steal parts from other group's trucks just to have operating vehicles when we returned to Vietnam. When we were resuppled, often it was worse things than we had come in with, even sometimes worse M14 rifles, which at least worked, not the newer M16s that seemed to jam ever third bullet.

Near the end of my tour five of our six howitzers broke down, so for another three weeks we were a one gun battery, and this on the DMZ.

Not a bit like we wish to think about our military in the beginning of our war Vietnam. Even more fun, we had an Army war, a Navy war, an Army war, and a Marine Corps war, each separate and none of them working together. I think it was not until Desert Storm that they learned to work together.

Scott, regardless of how you shove your beliefs, it is merely the usual religious bullying showing the too common contempt for other beliefs. We watch the growing threat of some to force their religion and to take over and control over others in an act of war against other beliefs, as has been done many times in history, including in my lifetime, such as the alleged Satanic Child Abuse and the lies told about other religions to justify various Christian attacks about different beliefs, or lack of belief.

Religious freedom does not favor one religion over another, nor should it. If it favors one over another, it becomes religious tyranny.

Scott, I never talked abut your personal beliefs, as I have little knowledge of them. Nor do ordinary Christians bother me. I only worry about the ones that want to control and bully all of those that disagree with them, including most other Christians. Most Christians a not going to harass others, but the few that would want to are dangerous to all belief. When religion and politic combine they are dangerous to all, as history shows time after time, and it does not matter which religion and which type of politics. One can see it not only with Christianity, but Islam Hinduism, and even Buddhism, in modern times.

If you Christians want to discuss your religious beliefs, go for it. But don't include discussing it with me, as I have said many times that I am not interested.

In all my years as a Wiccan, while I would answer and occasional question, I never once peached, or harassed with it to people not interested. Just requiring the same for myself.

Christianity encourages standing up for a life standard rooted in love, justice, and humility, which is far from being wrong. Religion isn't based in politics, the reverse is true. Consider every law man has made. Now think about why any wars, for whatever religion, supposedly started them. It's not a "christian" thing to war. It's a human thing.

Jesus taught against war.

1. **Love Thy Neighbor**: Jesus taught, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). This principle emphasizes compassion and care for others, forming the foundation of a life standard that promotes harmony and respect.

As you claim I don't understand you, yet your speaking of my non beliefs and alleged nothingness, shows how your level of superiority hides ignorances of anyone that has a different opinion about anything.

You understand nothing about my values, my morals, nor how I live life, nor do I have any need to explain myself to you. Nor do I have any interest beyond few interests to know anything about you.

One of the reasons is I find that if I know to much about any person that I know too much about bad things I have no interest in. I have a number of friends around the world. Some which I have shared ideas with for years and even up to three decades. All of my friends are very private people, as I am. I keep my number of acquaintances small, and my number of friends even smaller.

I am not impressed by how many likes a person has, nor how many friends, nor how many fans. I am not a crowd person, and quietude is a major need for happiness for me. Here, bird sounds are often the loudest noise. I have no need for some type of background noise, not TV, nor a Radio, nor even music. Nature is far more fun, far more entertaining, and I need nothing else.

I have communication to look into anything I chose to explore.

And as far as values, morals, and how I live life, those all changed when I surrendered myself to God, and began to see the world's ways just aren't healthy.

People are going to be predisposed to your way of thinking about my beliefs and routinely reply with what I feel is disinformation and otherwise lies. It happens all the time. Others are more aggressive about it, those kind... to me... probably wouldn't mind holding the spike that went through Jesus hands when the hammer fell. That's pretty much where I used to be myself, until I saw the danger I was really doing was to myself.

And I needed help to change. I asked and received that help. Now the best I can do is point to Him and say, He is the Lord. I've done this too, and all need to turn from this world's ways and follow Him instead. That's what my faith is all about, it's in Him.

In your next "quiet time", which we all strive to have in this loud busy world, see if you can't hear Him in it. Nothing lost or gained can be found without trying. Yes, I'm still trying to get through to you, it's all I can do. But my searching for God is over. Jesus is who He said He is, and there's no better place imho.

AND remember that March 31 has ALWAYS been the Transgender Day of visibility. It just happened that easter fell on the same day

Several religions observe holidays close to Easter. These include Ramadan (Islam), Passover (Judaism), Rama Navami (Hinduism), and Vesak (Buddhism), among others. Ramadan and Passover often overlap with Easter, while other holidays like Rama Navami and Vesak occur during the same spring season.

I'm an Atheist, but was married to a Catholic for 25 years and am now married to a Christian. And we always celebrated Easter when I was growing up in a somewhat-Christian home.

So I have no problem with a national recognition of Easter. It in no way could possibly be considered as the Federal government "making a law respecting the establishment of a religion".

Nor do I think that it thereby obligates the Federal government to recognize ALL religions.

The government recognizes Christmas. I'm OK with that.

Do they have to recognize Ramadan and Passover and Rama Navami and Vesak or any other religion's "holy days"?

History offers countless examples where actions were deemed "proper" within a political context but were glaringly wrong in terms of their human cost, societal impact, or disregard for Christian religion. When "proper" simply reflects conformity to existing norms or strategic convenience, it risks justifying actions that lack integrity, compassion, or fairness.

Policies or positions that dismiss the greater good in favor of political expediency erode trust in governance and harm the very foundation of public service. We must strive to uphold principles of justice, equity, and accountability—not merely check the box of political correctness. Ultimately, being "proper" pales in comparison to being truly right.

And in Christianity, celebrating Jesus, is right.

But as for being argumentative towards me, even so, you won't be able to deny them when you answer to Him.

The Bible has several verses addressing the topic of bearing false witness, emphasizing the importance of truthfulness and integrity.

Exodus 20:16: "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."

Proverbs 12:22, "The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy."

Ephesians 4:25: "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body."

Proverbs 19:5: "A false witness will not go unpunished, and whoever pours out lies will not go free."

These verses highlight the moral and spiritual consequences of dishonesty and encourage believers to uphold truth in their words and actions.

Yes, according to the Bible, this event is described in the Gospel of Matthew. When Jesus died, there was an earthquake, the temple veil was torn, and many graves were opened. I'm in no corner ... you're at the edge of the cliff. The Bible does emphasize the importance of warning others who are heading in the wrong direction and encouraging them to follow God. For example, Ezekiel 3:18-19 speaks of the responsibility to warn the wicked, saying that failing to do so makes one accountable for their fate.

Similarly, James 5:19-20 highlights the value of turning a sinner from their ways, as it saves them from death and covers a multitude of sins.
This act of warning isn't about judgment but stems from love and concern for others' spiritual well-being. It reflects God's desire for all to repent and come to Him.

Scott,ah yes always use the threat and then wonder why fewer people are staying in Christianity and fewer are attracted to it. A long history of violence starting when it became a Roman State Religion. As I said the love of wealth and power always corrupts a religion.
