Stephen Miller sent to L.A. to act as human repellent.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In what critics are calling an inflammatory move, It was announced on Tuesday that Stephen Miller was being sent to Los Angeles to act as a human repellant.

“No one empties a room faster than Stephen,” “He’s better than teargas.”

But the plan faces a stiff legal challenge from human rights lawyers, who argue that the use of Stephen Miller violates the Geneva Conventions.

Couple of things I've learned

1. Trying too hard and carrying on too long kills humor. There was a poster on this board (liberal bent) who would try to create their own satirical news articles but made them so long and so filled with zinging attempts that it ended up reading more like a screed than a piece of humor.
2. This same poster had the habit of trying to top any humorous or satirical post that popped up. It never works. You just end up seeming foolish.
3. There's no humor in poking fun at someone who suffers from autism. Nor is it very Christian, one might suggest.
So, if I encounter something amusing I want to share, I make sure it stands on its own and never post such material as an answer to another poost.

I thought it was good satire

Satire is based on facts, with a bunch of made up humor thrown in for good measure. An adult activist should expect to be mocked. It goes with the territory. I mean that activist causes more carbon to be burned than I do, and I farm.

I think the problem is that you filter your humor through your viewpoint. We all do to some extent. Jokes and satire are always funnier when they mock the other guys and not so funny when they mock us.

You might be surprised to know that as a farmer, my favorite jokes are ones that make farmers look stupid. Being secure in who I am, I can laugh right along. My sister likes to wall herself off from the rest of the family, but once in a while she will text me a joke, instead of actually telling me what is going on.

I got this joke just this week. Picture: Two farmers standing on opposite sided of a fence talking, one with a for sale sign in the front yard. The text goes as follows:

"I had a cow two years ago and she never had a calf. You said I needed a bull, so I sold the cow and bought a bull--still no calf."

Life is a whole lot brighter when you have a sense of humor and can laugh at yerself.

Crying Baby On Flight Complains About Being Seated Near Greta Thunberg

WORLD —(Babylon Bee) During an international flight from Tel Aviv to Paris a crying baby was seen complaining to a flight attendant about being seated next to professional activist Greta Thunberg.

"Can you move me to another seat? I can't hear myself think," the crying baby cried. "This grown woman won't stop crying."

Thunberg, who recently made headlines for being rescued by Israel during an ill-advised trip to Gaza, claimed she was not crying, only telling her seat mate about the horrors of climate change.

"How dare you, baby!" Thunberg reportedly said. "By breathing this air, you are hurtling the earth toward its doom! You are here flying and not even thinking about how you are ruining the world for my generation!"

"How dare you!" she added.

Unfortunately for the crying baby, the flight was fully booked and there were no remaining seats available. According to witnesses, the baby attempted to cause a scene by crying about it, but the child's cries were drowned out by Greta Thunberg's rant about Zionism.

"These people do not care who they kill! They are causing the genocide! How dare you fly out of their airports!" she complained to her fellow passengers.
