I don’t think so. NIL is an order of magnitude bigger than the under the table payments were
You can hide $100K here and there I guess, pay off some mortgages, give some kids some cars. But Ohio State isn’t going to hide an extra $10M “under the table”. There’s not going to be some QB cashing $2M and the IRS isn’t going to take an interest in it. So, I’m not sure the under the table piece will be meaningful in terms of balance of power because it would have to be too big to hide to make a difference.
