And even after all the signings so far, reports are they are still in serious talks with Guehi and now there are even rumors they are nosing around Rodrygo. Even factoring in the likelihood they sell Diaz, and assuming they also can get a decent transfer fee for Nunez, it still seems like a really big outlay, way more than they’ve ever spent under current ownership.

I don’t know where they are getting all the money they are splashing this off-season, but I’m not complaining. There’s no salary cap, and nobody gives trophies for most points per million pounds spent. So I’d much rather see them being aggressive and using the cash they have rather than just giving the owners a bigger profit margin. As long as they don’t spend so much that they’ll have no flexibility going forward, then more signings is better, IMO.
