I’m just hoping VRBO does penalize them in some way. We got lucky that we didn’t need 2 bedrooms anymore. If we had, we would have been pooched.

What we leaned on VRBO when we did talk to them, and we did talk to someone, was how could we trust a booking with VRBO? We’re expected to hold up our end of the bargain, and if not we’re penalized. In our view, there’s a get out of jail free card that the property owners can use, but also abuse. I’m just a little surprised they were this brazenly stupid about it. I could see maybe listening it on AirBnB, but they put it right back up for more money!
