It’s arguably another thing that social media has ruined. Places that were off the beaten path, but beautiful, like Horseshoe Bend for example, have become selfie and Instagram hotspots. So they get overrun.
Barcelona is in the same boat as our other places in Europe. When you add the rising numbers of middle class, people in places like China and India, you’re not only in increasing the desirability to travel to places like Barcelona, but you’re in increasing the number of people who can afford to do so.
