Which makes it more remarkable that Wrigley will be the one that remains.

Soldier Field needs some work but afaik there aren't chunks of concrete falling out so regularly that nets need to be installed. It needs more bells and whistles (and seating) but the structure appears to be sound. Another thing that makes this so disappointing IMO. Also highlights that love them or hate them, the Ricketts deserve credit for what they've done at Wrigley. Previous Message Previous Message of attention and accountability for its condition. However, I usually hear fans complain about it, but not so much from players and it doesn't seem to produce an inordinate number of injuries. These are just my feelings, I do not know if it's backed up by any truth, just my general observations. In my original post I acknowledge SF's many flaws, I'm more lamenting that the situation appears beyond salvaging despite being such a special place. I'd feel similarly if the Cubs had pulled up their stake and moved to the suburbs as well. Previous Message Previous Message I know the hockey puck in Arlington Heights makes more sense on a lot of levels, but I love Soldier Field despite its flaws. It will be a real shame when the Bears don't play there anymore. Previous Message I doubt it goes away
