Cool. Best of luck to her. My friend’s boy is the second to attend mines from this area that I know
Of. The other one is quite a bit older and now in the tunneling world. Some of the projects his dad (just a friend of a friend) has told me about are pretty incredible. Previous Message She has a better chance of pole vaulting at Mines, but only slightly--it's a sport that attracts a lot of engineering type brains. Previous Message Probably goes skiing every weekend now that slopes are open. Previous Message The stupid house settlement killed pretty much any possibility of D1 except at maybe a few minor schools. Indoor season starts in January, and she's already doing well better than her PR (but still ~2 feet short of what the beloved coach wants). Academic acceptance at Montana State, Colorado - Colorado Springs, Azusa Pacific (has a spot on the track team, but D3, former HS teammate goes here) Apps into Purdue, UWashington, Auburn, UMass, Colorado School of Mines (probably her first choice). UofCal schools are all one app, but not commmon app, but a bunch of those are going in this weekend (EA is 12/1). I think SD, Irvine, Santa Barbara, and maybe SLO. It's crazy to me that app fees haven't changed in more than 30 years from when I was applying. Back then $50 was a nice steak dinner for 2. Today it barely gets you chipotle. Previous Message All the apps are in except for a few privates.
