I feel like there are certain touristy things you just have to do
and I would put Cafe du Monde on that list.  Previous Message They are different shaped but they’re funnel cakes, basically identical to what you can get from some rando with 8 teeth running a food cart at your local parking lot fair, and people want to claim it’s some unique culinary delicacy that you can only get in New Orleans. New Orleans is an amazing, unique food city with loads of amazing things and local specialties to eat. Beignets are none of those things.
