but then I looked up his stats and realized that Verse isn’t nearly as productive as I thought he was. Probably still valued at around a mid 1st round pick though, which puts this pretty well in line with the Mack and Parsons trade. How do the Rams always have money for max contract guys? Is the lesson that if you have an elite QB, 1 elite WR, 1 elite DL, and 1 elite CB, you can kind of play around the margins everywhere else? The difference between paying top dollar contracts for Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp (in his prime) versus Montez Sweat and DJ Moore is massive and covers up a lot of other warts.
