That's fair, I wouldn't do the same thing today.*
 Previous Message continued paying them for 6 months before we figured out what was happening. The ex-employee never made a peep. We asked for it to be given back... she declined. It went to court and her current payroll check is being (and will continue to be) garnished for quite some time. So I wouldn't be so hasty to say that "likely nothing will ever come of it" in this case just because nothing did in yours .
