Terry Kath died in late 70s from an accidental self inflicted gunshot wound

Bassist/vocalist Peter Cetera left mid 80s and had a very successful solo career

Drummer Danny Seraphine was let go from the band in the 90s and still performs with his own Chicago-style band

Walter Parazaider had left about 10 years ago due to the onset of Alzheimers

Robert Lamm (keyboard, vocals) and James Pankow (trombone, arranger) retired from performing in the last year and are both battling health issues
