Oof, that’s rough. I’d never really thought about it until recently

The whole DOGE experience kind of broke me. First by making me leave the career where I had deep roots and a strong sense of purpose. My new job is good but I’m just not as connected with it, so I’m psychologically much more viewing it just as a way to pay the bills as opposed to a career or a calling. And on top of that, I had to look at the possibility of losing my job which made me realize I was a lot closer to being able to retire than I’d thought. Really just need to get Sprout through college and then financially it will be doable. But have another couple of years to be able to access my retirement accounts without penalty, which will probably be the limiting factor, unless there’s a real Great Depression level market meltdown. Previous Message i often find myself looking at retirement account calculators to have an idea of how much I might have when the time comes, how much income that might generate, etc. I just don't want to have to work
