That was the backdrop for Catch-22, which I’d highly recommend. Along with the merchant marine in earlier years, I think they had the highest attrition on the US/British side during the war. Although the experience of frontline Army/Marine infantry is n the Pacifist c was probably the most nightmarish. Previous Message Not sure if that’s the right plane, but I thought I remember hearing that. Previous Message I fully expect the aerial combat scenes to be brutal. The idea of going down to your death in a B-17 or B-24 is just awful.
