anyone catches it. They probably won't because that phrase is commonly stated wrong. You CAN have your cake and eat it, too. The proper way to say it is "you can't eat your cake and have it, too". You can have it... and eat it. You can't eat it and still have it.
I mean, if the point is to say something wrong and the audience doesn't catch it and that's how you win... that'd do it because most people don't realize they're saying it wrong. If that's not the point, then I'd still do it just so I could point out to everyone they're saying it wrong because it irrationally annoys me so much.
