play compact and relatively high on defense and then counter.
if forced to play on the front foot, there just aren't good answers. everybody wants to dribble through the middle. you don't have any weapons that can win with speed or on the flanks. that makes the single striker in klauss have to go bust ass to make runs out wide to give some width, and then you don't have anyone in the box when he receives it.
and the defense was just atrocious yesterday. kept serving up half clearances right to kansas players in dangerous positions. they had a couple bangers for goals, too. credit to them, they had a better plan and executed it perfectly.
one question- thoughts on that handball that lead to the 3rd goal? to me, it certainly looked like he pulled his arm away from his body in order to make contact with the ball and it got him on about his biceps.
