Taping games to try and steal signs is more taking gamesmanship to 11, a bit outside the bounds of what is done, but still in the same vicinity at least. Sign stealing has a pretty long history in sports, and I’d say that element is kind of in the “if you aren’t cheating you aren’t trying” realm of cheating. Yes it’s against the rules, but it’s a sin of degree rather than of kind. But breaking and entering, stealing playbooks, is beyond the pale to me. Previous Message There needs to be a major major punishment. Condoning breaking federal law at program level to get a competitive advantage is egregiously bad. Like cutting to 60 scholarships for 2 years and take 5 years to get back to 85. Maybe death penalty is too harsh but it needs to be a significant punishment Previous Message
