Unfortunately a lot of restaurant recs went down in flames Archived Message

Mamas fish house is still a thing. We couldn’t get in, and our dates had no reservations 3 months out. I know others who had different luck. We stayed in west maui and loved it. Can’t compare to south maui as I’ve only been once so we didn’t stay there. Our favorite beach was Napili beach. Gotta get there early to find parking, but I highly suggest getting there by 8am and just plopping down for the day. Beautiful, can walk to kapalua beach if you want a change of scenery, some decent snorkeling right there too. Kaanapali is in the area as well. Beautiful beach but much bigger and not a cove beach. We preferred napili but can’t go wrong at either. We did a snorkeling tour using this company. Service was great, boat was clean and good, they brought us to good spots where we saw a bunch of sea turtles and other fish. Can definitely recommend them. We did the discover kaanapali tour as we heard molikini crater was a little overrated at this point, but who knows: https://sailtrilogy.com/ We also did the road to Hana. If you get carsick, take some Dramamine before you go. The amount of hairpin twists and turns is not exaggerated and I definitely had a splitting headache. That said, it’s fun. Definitely crowded and I’m sure not as good as it used to be when it was less well known, but worth it, imo. We used the GuideAlong app which was very useful. Miso phat sushi was delicious. That’s probably the only restaurant we went to that’s not ash right now or I’d have a couple more. Previous Message Haven't been there in over 20 years, so looking for specific companies you used for excursions, activities, etc. Also interested restaurant recs (is Mama's Fish House still a thing?). Mahalo.
