What's the $4500 getting you? Archived Message

I put about $1700 into my 2011 Silverado a couple years ago (it's up to about 225K miles now). I think it's going to eventually become enough of a pain in the ass with various leaks and problems that I'll replace it, but I keep convincing myself to keep it around for just one more winter. Previous Message granted, about $1k of it was tires, so i asked how long i can hold off on the other stuff. it's really starting to rust out underneath and they also had to cut off the running boards because they were just hanging on. i might bite the bullet and put the money into it and see if i can get a few more years out of it without any other significant repairs so we can at least get my wifes vehicle paid off before having another car payment Previous Message …to the junkyard. Previous Message Nearly 30 year old car. ;-)
