I don’t really understand the board’s obsessions with giving foulsArchived Message

We saw how it can hurt you when we gave the pointless foul and then committed a non-shooting foul that gave 2 free points to Nebraska by putting Tominaga on the line.
There are times where it makes sense to give one, and I wouldn’t have minded Hawkins giving one once their big guy was getting into pretty good position. But it only makes sense to give the foul if you think you’re beat, or if there’s very little time left and you can actually run the clock down to the point where it makes a difference.
Just giving fouls for the hell of it serves no purpose.

1) we have to figure out the end game fouls to give thing. Again today we didn’t give one at the end of regulation, then when we did give one towards the end of OT, it was done completely wrong.
2) we called a TO with a about 1:15 left in OT. We came out of the TO, passed the ball around the arc 3 times and Shannon took a long 3 from the wing. That couldn’t have been the play.
3) Harmon can’t be the inbounder. He just can’t.
4) we killed them on the o glass and in the lane. Destroyed them.

Please be good, Illini.
Please be bad, Tominaga.
Nebraska sucks on the road, so hopefully that trend continues. Watched the sleepers preview and only concerns are Mast being good and that this is Nebraska’s last chance at a true resume building win…most of the rest of their games aren’t going to move the needle in terms of “big wins.”
Headed out to snag some Black Dog BBQ pre-game, and then get over to the stadium for some Sunday night fun! ILL!!!
