Adapting to the speed of the game, level of defense, shot blockers, etc. The shooting percentages are generally pretty poor at the start, and can make a big jump once they figure out how to find space and time to get decent shots.
PGs also make a big jump but you can usually tell when a playmaker has what it takes, while if a SG is shooting at a low percentage, that’s kind of the whole thing.

Seems to be an inefficient scorer that turns the ball over more than you’d like. I’d put it under 50% that he’s still here after next season though.
