TBD. His tear is in the fifth toe, which is rare and far less performance inhibiting Archived Message

than the typical first or second toe tear that is common in football. He has a custom orthotic that he says helps a ton, but other than the orthotic there’s nothing keeping the little toe in place. The orthopedic doctor says this can take a year or more to heal naturally and some people never heal at all. We’ll reassess in the fall. It’s a pain management issue for now. Previous Message Previous Message First game for OPRF is March 14, though teams can schedule as early as March 12. My son will be playing the whole season on a turf toe injury (torn plantar plate). Can’t hurt it worse, but surgery would be a 10 week recovery. Previous Message Previous Message Crazy that the season starts before MLB starts spring training
